What We Offer

From Spanish I through AP Spanish Language and Culture, we work with students at every level. Our tutors are fluent speakers with deep knowledge of the curriculum and the specific demands of the AP exam’s interpersonal, presentational, and interpretive tasks.
From French I through AP French Language and Culture, we build the vocabulary, grammar, and conversational confidence students need to genuinely engage with the language. Our tutors bring both academic rigor and real cultural context to every session.
Mandarin Chinese presents unique challenges: a tonal system, thousands of characters, and a grammar structure that differs fundamentally from English. Our Chinese tutors specialize in making that complexity navigable, from introductory Mandarin through AP Chinese Language and Culture.
All three AP language exams: Spanish, French, and Chinese, test interpersonal, presentational, and interpretive communication. We prepare students for each specific task type, with targeted practice that mirrors real exam conditions.

My child is already taking the language in school. Why would they need a tutor?

A tutor works at your child’s actual pace, fills the gaps classroom instruction created, and builds the kind of real fluency that exams — and real life — actually require.
Is it too late to start language tutoring in junior or senior year?
It’s not too late, but the earlier the better. For AP language exams, we recommend starting support at least one semester before the exam. For students who need to build foundational skills before tackling AP-level material, more runway helps significantly. That said, we’ve seen meaningful progress in focused, well-planned short-term engagements.
Do your tutors teach the language or just help with homework?
Both, but always in service of the larger picture. We never just help with tonight’s assignment without connecting it to the broader skill we’re building. Every session has a purpose beyond the immediate task, like grammar, fluency, cultural context, or exam technique. The homework is the entry point, not the goal.
Do you work with families outside the U.S.?
Yes. We work with families internationally through online sessions. Whether you’re based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles, New York, Seattle, Washington D.C., Singapore, Dubai, or Switzerland, our online tutoring is fully equivalent to our in-person experience. For families abroad who are preparing for American school or college admissions, language proficiency is often a meaningful differentiator.
